Ok so the story of Shinook is a basically another name for Clakity clack drag. Shinook is a name derived from the onomatopoeia of the dragging sound or nails scraping across the ground depending on how the story is told.

Now I bring this up to tell this story.

When I was growing up my little sister was scared of the Shinook. So one night well playing hide and go seek in the dark. Me and my brothers ran up from the basement grabbed a coat and waited over the open stair railing. Soon our sister came running up after us. So we dropped the coat and yelled SHINOOK!! SHINOOK!!

The coat didn't even touch her. She let out one of the most terrified screams from deep with in her throat I have ever heard and flew back down the stairs. So we go down after her and find her in the far side of the basement huddled in our mom's arms red faced and tears running down her face and dripping of her chin.

Oh we got in so much trouble for it but it was so worth it. I doubt there was much Mom could have done to us to make us sorry. But to this day even when drawing this page and writing this I got a big stupid smile on my face.

*Shinook* Is actually that sound that you didn't hear just now, but you are wondering why you didn't hear it because it was obviously there below your hearing threshold over in the corner.

Arua is not enjoying the implication that Pervy Sage wants them to leave the area and stop investigating. Why would Pervy Sage do that?

I think you mean, "Old Man". I haven't seen him spying on anyone yet AND he's giving the heroes helpful items to boot.

"Pervy Sage" is a play off the character "Jiraiya" from Naruto. He always gave Naruto useful techniques, when he wasn't sneaking. Pervy Sage here sneaks up on everyone. I'm certain he's spying on someone.
