This should go over well.

In my first year of collage English I had a new teacher who believed that all wars where a result in lack of communications.

I believe she was wrong. That wars result in two objects can not occupy the same space and time. As such war results when two idea's can not coexist in the same place.

Now well war can be avoided by when both parties agree to honor a compromise then communication has worked. But idea's are in two different places at that point.

If I learned anything it's how to form a argument and articulate it. Really she had us do debates on the last day of class and I was so good at dismantling her idea's that she put me on silent ban!

Hope you all enjoyed that little trip into my thoughts and history.

War is the result of the failure of diplomacy, which is a thing apart from communication. Two people can talk together while plotting each other's demise behind the words. It is the art of diplomacy to engineer through logic, guile, deceit and outright intimidation, the heartfelt belief in the other party that their continued well-being is not served by non-agreement. Diplomacy is not necessarily a nice thing, a well-mannered thing, or even an honest thing. It is, at its basest form, the will of the one against the will of the other. It is not a perfect solution because humanity is not perfect. Humanity is not honest. Humanity is not well-mannered, and it of a certainty is not nice. I have 10,000 years of history saying this is the rule that exceptions shine from. At the point diplomacy stands in the gap twixt hostile words and casualties, one side at minimum has abandoned compromise as a bargaining tool. What proceeds from that point is communication of a different order.

P.S. I'm going to be the one to say it: she's doing a great job to Make Almier Great Again. Bigly.

Love the panels of the leaders again! But, er, the typo in the second panel is one you should really fix...

Read that panel again. While it is true I have learned to overlook Lacking's spelling more times than not; that panel could just as well be spoken dialect as spelling error. I can easily imagine that being spoken by an Ogre, for example.

Sorry about the typo, I think I was trying to do "it's" and "it is" at the same time. Didn't work out so well.
