Who has been following her close enough that they could have drugged her drink? I'm thinking Madame Orb Collector has had some method to keep tabs on the two of them. Other option is that the raiders had someone on the inside they were bribing to pass along information. They could have gotten a message out about the curious visitor and plan was hatched to capture the threat. Option 3 is just a combination of the two.
I'm tired too.
This was done to prevent Arua from poping wings in every fight.
That said, the wings were out for what...less than 20-30 seconds real-time. That's a pretty punishing cooldown.
The real thing is I want to avoid that tendency of "Why not open with that?" So I created a cost to the power. But just not a good one yet.
First time it was a direct threat, after she had expended all she had:

Second time it was to escape a very upset mob, so Life in Danger:

Third time someone she cared about very dearly had been killed:

(P.S. You were working on finalizing a list of Arua's powers here.)
(P.S.S. These pages brought back bad memories. You bit really deep here.)
(P.P.S.S. She expended a TON more energy in this fight sequence than she did getting mad at Xura at the start of the current day, and she was still able to walk away under her own power. This is what I meant by by it feeling very abrupt on this page.)
She did not use the wings at all against Bron, or in the fight against Iron Jaw, not even right at the end when she became furious at him after he portaled her hammer into the security door. So, I'm thinking extreme threat, grave peril, imminent casualty-death to someone she's protecting might be an appropriate trigger-point. And not as crippling a recovery.
Which brings me back to who spiked her drink.
You have mail.
If it was the Email then I can't get to it because I have forgotten everything about that account and can't retrieve it.
