I'm interested in the *why* Almier developed this thing in the first place. King Jereboam the Noble (I don't have anything else to call him) says that in the event of war they would have the most to lose. And there is a history of war between all 3 kingdoms, so was it out of fear? The desire for a preemptive strike? A Doomsday Weapon to hold over the others' heads? I keen that it was a pretty expensive endeavor, powerful weapons always are, so obviously there had to be a high level of suspicion of "something."

P.S. My mind also keeps going back to the fact that for something that surely had to be a state secret, it was most definitely known of. This begs the question: was one of the other kingdoms that good at espionage...or did someone withing the Almier *deliberately* leak the information. Were I King Jereboam, that would be the possibility that would be keeping me up at night.
