Well good morning and before we all forget. The Warcraft movie comes out tomorrow! That's right it comes out on the 27th!

But that's now all for this weeks rambles.

Well this week I thought I would try something fun. Reviewing something old to everyone else but me. So I went with a few Anime TV shows I've watched. Now let me give you some background, I watched these shows because I wanted to try and pick up some drawing tricks. And since Disney dose everything in CGI now I had to go over sea where rather or not if you think Anime is wired you can't deny that the Japans still work that good old 2D animation.
Even more background. I did not really grow up watching Anime, aside from Pokémon, Digimon , and Zoids I didn't watch it really. I can't speak a lick of Japanese so everything is in English dubbed because I hate reading when I'm watching TV. I also don't read any Manga so my only Knowledge is based on what I watched. Keep in mind that I am a red blooded, steak eating, gun shooting, western American and we'll see how this goes.
This week I thought I would talk about the big three for me lately.

Fairytail:
No that is not a misspelling, In all honesty I like this one a lot for most of its art. Strong colors and bold line work it is really fun to look at. Even its script at times really stand strong with fun bizarre characters and very touching characters this show is very capable of being very good.
The premise of the show is about a guild of wizards called fairytail. Magic is very common in the land this show dose a great job at having fun with that. I guess the main character is Lucy but dang if that's not easy to forget. Lucy finds herself in a team of far more interesting people.The real star stealer of the show is clearly Natzu, a fire welding dragon slayer magic guy that does not understand the meaning of control.
This show does over the top good. I mean like really good. It also walks a fine line with the right amount of madness and dose a fine job with its pacing. Fairtail makes good use of the abundance of magic in its world to bring out great action and interesting places and stories. One of the best parts for me was in a story where they all meet their counterparts. A bad guy turned good thug named Gajeel meets himself who is a journalist that wrights several articles calling into question the practice of the king. They instantly become best friends as they both fight against "the man". It's moments like this that Fairytail shows it is very capable of smart writing.
Then there is the bad. All it takes is a few episodes and the bad is quite easy to see. First the show is a little too sparkly at time. Second it has a really big problem with females. Now I'm not known for political correctness or social justices. But come on Fairtail takes it a little far at times and often in very poor taste. If you want females to have big boobs fine, but why is it always a goal to find a way to lose shirts? Keep in mind nothing is shown but it's the implication. Also why do you have a female with cat ears in her underwear all the time? Well I understand fan service is a black staple of most anime I think others do it far less and with more tack then Fairytail does. But I'm sure it's not the worst out there.
So if you want over the top strong art work and don't mind some eye candy, check out Fairytail.

Sounds like the prologue is over and Act I has kicked in. Someone who is not a ghost is in real trouble.
