That first panel was really tricky to try and do. It took a surprising amount of brain power to figure out how to draw it and how the portals worked.

The hard thing about creating a villain is making so they can reasonably fight against Arua and Cer'veja.

The Idea with Iron Jaw was that he would use his portals to literally direct the flow of battle with them.

And that's a tall order to fulfill when you're talking about The Archon of The Light, and a guy who learned to fight in an environment where the ones who *didn't* learn aren't around anymore. In the sense he's an evolved form of villain. Death-Eyes the First relied on his supernatural strength. Nixie and company tried to rely straight on powerful magic, and Xura attempted to go head-on with anti-Light ability. Dog Boy seems to be a different story: strength-wise I doubt he would stand a chance against Arua's, and I don't believe his magic power alone could overpower The Light. What he has is a talent they haven't seen before, and haven't had to develop a counter for. He's using the martial arts technique of using his opponents strength against them by using his abilities to evade and deflect the opponent's attacks.

I can see Arua figuring out strategies to turn his portals back on himself. And unless he can command 4 of them at once, he's going to be a little pressed when Arua and Veja devise a plan to double-team him. If he lets himself focus on her sword hand, for example, he could leave himself wide open for a suddenly visualized Light Hammer appearing in her other hand. Which still leaves Veja.
