In the Meta sense, it seems that evil won this one. The world the king conceived in love of The Light, ends in flames and destruction. Only two people will live through this to carry the message of The Light to the rest of the world. (Which opens up a lot more potential for Arua. More trilogies. After the next book, which is something else good.)
In our own life we may look at the disaster around us and feel as if evil is winning. But we need to keep in mind that our perspective is but a small one when compared to the whole picture, and that some times our plan does not match the bigger plan.
To get a little religious here another way to look at it is when Christ was crucified that would be considered the end, evil had won? But that was part of the plan. For him to first atone for our sins and then die upon the cross and rise again on the third day. So we see by looking at a small part of just that plan would make it seem like evil had won but in the end it had merely carried along the plans of "The Light".
My reason for tell you all this is in hope that you wont get to down, look for the good and keep your head up.
Good is patiently waiting for more Arua. They are out in the big wide world of Azeroth now. I know she has more stories that can be told. We just need to wait for them to reveal themselves to you.
Do we get a Starcore next?
