You may remember, a younger me (ok I haven't had a birthday since then but still) was merrily musing on what the actual nature of who and what Xura was.

Is it possible, for a demon, one fallen but who truly expressed a true desire to repent, to reach a state of...exaltation?
Just musing to myself here. And idly wondering who Xura is going to see.
Like how Xura asked "By what power will -we- be safe?" Not "By what power will -they- be safe" or "By what power will -you- be safe?" She spoke in the plural possessive, she is including herself as one of the ones...to be saved.

Your two observations where spot on. I spent some time trying to get the word use right as it would reflect a lot of what is going on.
