The hard thing about facts is discerning truth from error. Our perspective can lead us to believe on thing but the reality is different. So if you want to cause trouble use this to your advantage and obscure reality with a "factual" lie.

Anyways that concludes the update for this week so have a merry Christmas everyone! I will leave out with a song but I am going to be talking about Star wars after it so you've been warned.

For unto us a Child is born,
To us a Son is giv'n;
The government shall rest on Him,
Th' anointed One from Heav'n.
His name is Wonderful Counselor,
The Mighty God is He,
The Everlasting Father,
The humble Prince of Peace.

Ok Star Wars, I liked it. I was really worried that this movie was just going to ride it's tittle but no it really was fun. There is just one thing I have a problem with. Ray using the Jedi mind trick. A large part of the Original trilogy was to see how Luke change over the movies. I feel like letting Ray use the force so easily and even the most advance force powers robbed the audience of that growth journey. That being said I think there is a way this can be fixed. In the follow ups movies if they have Ray do some really crazy stuff with the force then ya I can be ok with that as it would prevent a 0-100 case.

In short they need to deliver the growth story with Ray or I will feel robbed and everything she did with the force will be just a "hey remember this!" deal.

well until next week!

And I think we know just who the one smart person is.

I've been reading theories that Rea's father was a VERY BIG player in the Jedi world, and that she has inherited a big dose of Force from Da. Considering that the Stormtroopers were not bred for intellect, the fact she was able to control the one guard is less impressive than that she was able to not only resist Kylo, but *scare* him at the power she contained. Remember Snoke himself commented that Rea had more power untrained than any one imagined.

And if you had a problem with Rea using the force mind trick, how about what Finn was able to accomplish? The only Stormtrooper known to ever break the conditioning and refuse orders; using a lightsaber, a weapon no Trooper would ever receive training with, so effectively that he held off and managed to wound Kylo before being wounded himself. Your average person would stand a better chance of poking their own eyes out with a lightsaber, rather than being able to use one like that.

Ya the Fin bit was a problem to... In fact that whole last few mins kind of where... However this is a film that can be nit picked to death and rather or not it deserving it I think is something that rides heavily on the on the follow ups.

(I do have a extensive list of nitpicks but The potential robbing of a growth story was my only real problem.)

I don't care to nit pick the movie to death either, but for me the biggest problem was the plot was episode IV modernized to fit the demands of today's society. But I chose to ignore that and really did enjoy the movie. Of course, I enjoy watching movies over and over again so it worked for me.

There is always one smart hater stirring up the rest of the pack in these situations.

Heathen girl here isn't big on the religious aspect of Christmas. But I was raised in it, so I understand how important, and what this means to those who believe in it. I also have a really broad musical appreciation, including selections you wouldn't expect from a heathen. This song is for you, Merry Christmas Lacking.
