This was just a fun page.

But now we have a rare game thoughts from Lackinganame!

On 9-15-15 Destiny launch it's first major "expansion" known as "The Taken King"(TTK). Now I may have mentioned my like slash hate relation with Destiny, a game I found the combat really fun but the story and RNG loot really bad! So how has TTK effected the game?

Honestly I'm not sure. I feel like the taken as bad guys did bring new interesting aspects to fights. Things such as splinting to into two bad guys, invincibility beams, blinding rays and homing balls of death really have shaken up game play. But I feel like some encounters are more of SPAM rather then a real fight. This is really evident in some end boss battles on missions where I found my self fighting adds more then I did the boss. Now there are some bad guys that are suppose to be just spam such as the original thralls which fill a zerg like roll. But none of the Taken really feel like that to me. They all feel like they are suppose to be part of a fire team. By combining the two aspects you get encounters that are just really frustrating because you simply don't have enough bullets to go around.

However! The new missions seem to try more to tell a story and even use unique elements to them. The first new mission did this very well but as it went on they did kind of get lazy with their mission designs. But the really sad thing is the whole main story takes only 3-4 hours to beat! Way to short for what I was expecting.

But with I those 3-4 hours you find more story telling, charters and cinematic then you do in all of the original game and its DLC.

In short I'm still unsure as to if I like The Taken King or not, I'm even more unsure if TTK has done for Destiny what it needed to. I guess if it has done anything for the controversial game is given it another year to being a controversial game.

I'm reminded of the fight in the cave against the stone guardian in the last arc. Veja pulled off a surprise attack in that fight too.

His attack was a lot more effective then that this one was.

They are in for a tumble before this one goes in the win column.

And some good panels here. Hard to make a lumbering monster lumber leap. Nicely drawn calm, peaceful background to contrast the violence of the leap. Actually giving the monster expressions is a good touch in panel 2. And Veja's physical geometry may be a tad unrealistic for a human, but who's to say what a troll can do full leap?

But that attack still did minimal damage. And I fear he's about to get an extremely rude dismount.
