...Wait, they were already dead.

After strolling in at this late point in the story I muse upon Arua's lack of practical armor.

Well to be fair they all are kind of lacking in the armor department.

Well all except the guards and mister bad guy who both run around in a full suit of armor as if to mock the world and its lack of protection.

The decision not to give Arua or Cer'veja any real armor was intentional. Rather then a professional fighter or well equipped adventure I wanted their styling to be based more on their situation which is more along the line of being pulled off the street given some weapons and a training montage then thrust into a situation that's bigger then both of them.

There is also the matter of the place they lived in which I never really got around to addressing in this book is at this time to have armed and armored civilians is a little spooky to the powers that be. This again is why only the guards have armor as they are the law and mr. bad guy has armor because he operates outside of the the law. (tho to be fair to myself there is a page where Cer'veja is babbling about needing to smuggle weapons.)

Last but not lest is I have it on good authority that Arua looks cute the way she dresses!

Thanks for the comment I enjoy babbling about what I do what I do, and I enjoy when readers are interested enough to muse upon something.
