One of the few good things in school as a kid was just the mob soccer games we would have. One ball, a worn down field, a few classes worth of kids, and goal line that made up the whole ends of the field like a touch down zone.

Woo sport! I remember trying out for the middle school soccer team once. I showed up on the last day of the three for tryouts because it was my dad bringing me and he was the only one who worked, and my mother decided it was his responsibility (I grew up with them separated). I had a new ball and the coaches took pity on me and let me try anyway despite not having shown up for the other two. I was probably one of the slowest girls and also had the soccer ball fly up and hit me right in the face. Needless to say, I never joined. We had a lot of fun with that ball during the summer, though!
