Well I hope you are all having a good week so far!

I think I'll take a moment to talk a little bit about face reveals seeing as how the new Halo show did such a bad job with it.

A face reveal should hold meaning to both the character the face is being revealed to and do the audience watching. The best standard face reveal to go by is the Vader face to Luke at the end of Return of the Jedi.

Why this works is because through out the trilogy Vader has been a evil helmet chasing our heroes. We have also seen glimpses of what is under that helmet and a vital connection between Luke and Vader has been established. So at the end of the trilogy both Luke and the audience have meaning to see what is under that helmet at last. The face of a saved Anakin.

Now sticking with Star wars Force awakens did a bad job with Kylo's face reveal. His face means nothing to Ray and showing it actually works against him because it humanizes him well he's suppose to be intimidating and attempting to torture Ray. His face reveal should have been on the bridge with Han Solo his father. It would have paired up great with the lines of "what do you think you'll see?""My son!" This slides the reveal later into the movie letting the audience wonder more about whats under the helmet and feeds the connection to the character that the face is being reviled to.

But that's not the only time Star Wars messed this up. As great as the Mandalorian was it did a poor job with the Face revile. We should not have seen the face in season 1. Well the droid did represent Mando over coming his hatred of droids this was not a strong enough to justify the audience seeing it. This could have been done with out showing his face by placing the helmet on the ground and the audience hearing his voice with out the filter giving us a great tease. In the empire base in season 2 should have shown the back of his head and had the other bounty hunter still call him brown eyes. Thus giving us more teases. The face revival should have been at the end when he said good bye to Grougo. After teases and all that they went through together the one person he willingly shows his face to is his adopted son.

Face reveals are a impotent thing in stories with masked characters so showing that face needs to be done with the upmost care because it's a moment you only get once.

You should do an arc in GRATZ involving a face reveal. That could be interesting.

Kin of did that way back in the very OG gratz book final arc. But I am planning another one for sometime in the fall if I can find a simple video editor software...

Did they forget that Arua can fly/carry them to the top of the castle and make their way down from there? Less risk of detection, greater stealth, less damage going in to both them and enemies?
"Ya, she glows brightly, but its a Good kind of glow." :)

I like your thinking. Point of clarification, Arua can't fly she can just launch her self into the air and kind of glide, so falling with style. She can launch herself a distance of plot. (So I don't have a hard rule on how far)

But over all your right in your thinking and I liked your comment.
