Unless Lacking was taking some shortcuts in drawing...which he may have, I see a lot of similar Elk in that last panel. Small towns are sometimes *REALLY* small...in terms of gene pool as well.

In fact, this town may be SO small...they've never seen outsiders before. Crazy, I know. That or they're all *bugs*.

It's a shortcut. Draw people takes the most amount of time. So copy paste saves time for background crowds.
