Also: last sentence "DURING our escape."
Patch day happened and I canceled my subscriptions. I'm now on a two year vacation from WoW. Going to take a month to catch up with myself, read some of the stack of books I've accumulated, and then decide what to work on. Probably will spend time on my long neglected Charr/GW2, maybe roll a new character in ESO.
Hope your brake goes well.
I'll be getting some WoW time as soon as my paycheck rolls in tonight most likely and then I'll probably play the pre-patch for my Alliance before my Hordie. If not then, then the next check. There's that grace period of 6 weeks of the patch.
I've always enjoyed the pre-patches even if the expansion ends up disappointing me. It gives me some hope that for new zones and storylines before the inevitable timegating mechanics kick into effect. My collector's edition box should be arriving today so I'm excited to find that when I get home from work!
It's kind of weird how the systems of WoW have felt like they are really getting in the way of the game the last few years. Or maybe they always where in the way I just care more now.
Stay tuned tomorrow for an update
