One of the craziest weather events I've seen was getting hit by a Haboob. Saw a wall approching and was in a building by the time it hit and watched as a wall of black went over our front windows and all our night time equipment kicked on.

Never been in a sandstorm but I have been caught in a couple of whiteouts when I was stationed in Alaska.

Sandstorms aren't so bad they just get everything dirty, even the Haboob just left sand in places we would find months later behind selves and such. It's really the wind that is the problem with sandstorms. The wind will blow over trees and heavy tree will do a lot of damage.

Never been in a white out before but I have been in blizzards, those where much worse then sandstorms.

A...haboob? *looks it up* Oh, a haboob!

I'm surprised that the gang made it to the site relatively unharmed, but I'm still thinking about Cer'veja's feet. I walk bare foot almost exclusively as soon as the weather turns warm enough to do so and asphalt is still a big no.

Ya his feet would be blistered now if they weren't protected by the "I have nothing to do with that in the story so I just will ignore the implications of that subject" socks. They are surprisingly comfy socks.

I walk my dog at night so her poor paw paws don't get burned. Also, it's cooler at night for the both of us.

Security camera's swapped to night time mode, lights that turn on when it gets dark. Basically anything that has a night time functionality turned on.
