The Ajoiner Realm
General Warren Northwright is failing in the last war against the Darkness. Vile monsters have slaughtered his men, and now he stands alone. With the unexpected return of a search party, a spark of hope ignites within him.
With the new found map and a scrap of parchment as his only guides, he gathers his surviving comrades to help him find the Beacon which will restore freedom to the Ajoiner realm. His elite team comprises a prince who refused his throne, a compassionate military scout, and a reserved goliath.
With time running out for Fortitude, Warren delves into the territory of the Darkness. If he fails, he'll lose his tattered honor and condemn the land to ruin.

Of interest is the destroyed mill in Panel 3. That was someone's business, possibly a family's business, destroyed. Livelihoods destroyed. And if they were unfortunate enough to be inside when it was struck....
War is bad. War is at it's base inhumane. When wars are started because of racist/theological ideology, they are incomprehensibly worse.
And that boat ride must have been pretty fun for everyone. I wonder if they had to take turns.
