Is it because his son died? I think it's because his son died. And that Arua didn't save him but she's saving everyone else.

I'm having this kind of week.

Arua couldn't possibly have even known Tirea's brother, as she and Veja would have still been in the Kingdom of the Sky when he died. Arua couldn't have saved him because she wasn't there.

I'm not the author, but I think this needs to be a "Dad get over yourself" moment. He doesn't understand exactly what's going on, but how could he object if he did? Arua's risked her life for all of theirs. But if he can't/refuses to understand, then good-bye, he just lost his daughter again.

I may have done a poor job of framing this, but Tirea's brother died in the recent a recent battle since the Almier invasion.

So Arua still wasn't there, she just wasn't sky high at that moment.

Stand corrected, but message still goes. Arua wasn't responsible for his death, wasn't there to help when he died. It would not be reasonable for dad to hold her responsible. But maybe it's as simple as "if only." If only she had been there. If only she had arrived a little sooner. He still needs to release that people are being blessed now. Or he's going to lose his daughter too.
