When I was young there was a slide that ran all the way down this hill. Darn thing was made of metal so you burn you butt as you went down and if it rained there was a massive puddle waiting for you at the bottom. So the slide was really only good everyone in a wile.

In other news a new voting page is up! So go vote and check that out! Also last months voting page is now up in the extra gallery!

Nice incentive page!

Yeah it is nice that she could stylize her hooves, too bad we can't do it in the game.

I do notice that the Mag'har orcs can either have scars or tattoos, which gives me hope that someday all the other races can have scars and/or tattoos!

BTW, off topic, there is a new Contested Territory up

When she says "stylize my feet" she means by the hoof coverings she chooses to wear. In the Highmountain blacksmithing quests in Legion, one of the smiths makes the comment that they don't have any use for boots. If you can't take a few blows to the hooves, then you have no business being a warrior. I made a comment on a guild run of Stratholme that's applicable here. In there everyone gets turned into a human player, and I stated that "Boots are wasted on us" meaning Tauren, because they mostly show up as elaborate spats.

BUT, I've started noticing some notable exceptions. Check the difference between:

Both Tauren, yet while the Paladin has the tradition Tauren spats, the Warrior has almost completely functional boots, with the addition of those steel-toes. So, it's something Blizzard *could* do on a bigger scale if they wanted to.

I like those warrior boots those are nice! I've done those Highmountain quests, just not on a Tauren (yet).

Funny I have a couple of Horde characters on Wyrmrest Accord, a 110 DH and a 72 DK. Not sure I have seen the guild you are in but I will keep an eye out next time I am there.

One of the best boots for Tauren. I use them in one of my best mogs. I really like armor that takes advantage of the unique physical attributes of the more beast races.

Now I want to see that mog. Pics or it didn't happen.

Childhood is all about finding enjoyable things that are painful. ...That meant something when I thought of it.

For the month of November: we didn't do AS well as October, but still a very respectable showing. I checked early on the 30th, and GRATZ ended on #327, with 231 votes. Again, not as good as October when it ended #316 with 256 votes. That said, landing consistently in the low 300s is a tremendous improvement since January.

JSStryker pointed out something yesterday, that I wanted to give a mention. He noticed how one vote seemingly made a huge difference in the count. Part of it is that the Rank Counter in the bottom box doesn't seem to update dynamically until after you register a new vote. Visit the page on a different day and it may still have the old rank showing until you vote for the day, then you see the updated total.

The other factor was, as I said yesterday, the beginning of the month. Not many votes can see big jumps in the total because there are upwards of a thousand or so comics on the Webcomic list, but relatively few that get consistent votes. On Saturday GRATZ was #706; last night it was #393, and tonight it's #371. Already, after just 3 days the vote totals are starting to set in.

It also varies with how far up the list you are ranking. On 12/1 the top comic "Twokinds" had 1,362 votes. Contrast with comic #100 which had...56 votes. Today, Tk has 3,868 votes, and comic #100 has 146, which it shares with several other comics. The #100 position is going to bounce around a lot during the month; #1, not so much.

So what we are really interested in is growing a fanbase. To do that we need consistent voting. For all the subscribers reading: you can vote for GRATZ once every 24 hours, you can come back here every day and hit the vote button at the top or bottom of the screen. The more votes, the higher the comic ranks in the list. The high it ranks, the better the chance people will see it and like it. We're not trying to become #1: that's just not a realistic goal for now. For now, we're trying to crack #300. And then work up to maybe #250, then #200. From there momentum will build. "This is how we grow."
