Alright big news this week. My little sister as spent the last 6 years of her life writing a book and now she is Publishing!

The Ajoiner Realm

General Warren Northwright is failing in the last war against the Darkness. Vile monsters have slaughtered his men, and now he stands alone. With the unexpected return of a search party, a spark of hope ignites within him.

With the new found map and a scrap of parchment as his only guides, he gathers his surviving comrades to help him find the Beacon which will restore freedom to the Ajoiner realm. His elite team comprises a prince who refused his throne, a compassionate military scout, and a reserved goliath.

With time running out for Fortitude, Warren delves into the territory of the Darkness. If he fails, he'll lose his tattered honor and condemn the land to ruin.

The book launches September 15 and will be available in paperback and digital.

However! You can pre order digital now on amazon and here is a easy link for it. The Ajoiner Realm (Defenders of Radiance Book 1) Kindle Edition

I smell a trap. Or, maybe the "Major" didn't shower this morning. If this is the "opportunity of a lifetime" why not send his own men? Why trust an enemy? Answer: He already sent some of his own men and they never returned...or in one piece. And he plans to keep one of the three as hostage.

Question for Veja is, does he take Major at his word, or is it time for a hustle?

Second median of August is in, and the results are peculiar. For week #1 8/2 - 8/8, we had 60 total votes, 8.57/day average, with the comic coming in at #307.

For week #2, 8/9 - 8/15: 62 total votes, 8.85/day average...#306. Not a great improvement. Initial thoughts were that it is still early in the month, and other comics were still getting votes.

Then I decided to recheck this morning. GRATZ is 3 votes from #300. We are "9" votes away from last month's #290. The difference is that these comics are still getting votes. So, we can do this again, but we have to "Step Up" our game.

EVERYONE. EVERY day. VOTE. It takes less than a minute, and you don't have to request an absentee ballot.

P.S. Rebekah's book is only showing the Kindle edition, and I prefer books I can actually hold. I'm not a Luddite, far from it, I just prefer stuff that will still be around if the tablet dies.

She is doing a paper back version of the book but it can't be pre ordered. Sorry about that.

I really like that threat he's making. It always bothers me that people tend to use the same phrasing when they threaten someone in writing but that's also because people do that in real life. I chalk it up to conforming and ease to use something so commonly used.

Ah, nice, I'll have to remember to look into getting that book once I'm able to! I'm glad that she kept writing for so long; it's very difficult to keep on doing that, especially now. I've barely written anything all year and it's something I also love doing.

Writing is hard, if it where easy I'm sure more people would be doing it.

[minor pick of a nit] "sight"is what you do with your eyes; "site"is a place, and "cite"is telling someone where you got something.

(If it's too easy, it isn't any fun.)
